Benjamin Anglade has Landed!

May 15, 2026

We’re excited to introduce Benjamin Anglade, a new producer from Terrasses du Larzac, one of the most exciting emerging regions in southern France.

You may remember Jo’s email from her visit last year, if not refresh you memories here. Jo was lucky enough to visit Mas De Daumas Gassac, where she had a sneak preview into the many projects of Benji, and got quite excited about one of the wines that features later in the email..

Benjamin Anglade is the side project of winemaker Benjamin Anglade, of Mas de Daumas Gassac, often dubbed the “First Growth of the Languedoc.”

Joining with two other friends who have a deep belief in the region, they founded the project in 2018.

One of France’s up-and-coming regions, Terrasses du Larzac has become a magnet for ambitious winemakers in recent years. It’s one of the highest and coolest areas of the Languedoc, with vineyards ranging from around 40 to over 400 metres in elevation. The nearby Larzac plateau, rising above 1,000 metres, brings cool night air down into the vineyards, creating large day–night temperature shifts.

No heavy and over-ripe red wines here. The wines often show freshness and vibrant fruit, rather than the heavier style often associated with the region. Blends centered on grapes like Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault deliver Mediterranean character with a bright, fresh drinkability.

Logique 2023

A beautiful blend of Grenache, Cinsault & Syrah, grown at an elevation of 150-220 m, vines are dry-farmed and managed using organic practices. Hand harvested only.

All fruits are de-stemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tank for 10 days then the wine is aged for 12 months in old 600L French oak barrels and 8 months in stainless steel tanks.

The resulting wine is incredibly precise, with aromas of raspberry, oregano, dried herbs, and mineral salinity. The palate is savoury and structured, with very pure fruit, fine tannins, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Glorious wine at the money!

Genesis 2023

Carbonic maceration Carignan, with a great label to go with it, a must have this summer!

Opening with citrus fruit, floral touches and vibrant garrigue on the nose. The palate is crisp and juicy, with explosive fruit and vitality in a frank, straight forward style that infuses the heart of the palate and then becomes more southern with an exquisite, lacy finish. Built to drink, chill it if you like!
