Vincent Caille 'Gorges' 2020
There is no doubt that Vincent Caille is the master of Muscadet, Gorges 2020 is the finest bottle of Muscadet I've tasted, a proper fine wine that will go on for years.
'Gorges' is made from a small selection of 50+ yo vines on Gabbro soils in the top Muscadet Cru village of Gorges. The yields are kept low, a gentle fermentation in Amphore, followed by 30mths lees aging makes for the silkiest most delightful Muscadet.
